I painted this one just for fun and to improve my digital brush strokes in order to achieve a more "organic" feeling. It´s painted without references, in around 10 or 12 hours. Done mostly in Photoshop (90% of the work aprox) and Painter (mostly the final acrylic brushes in her skin and armour ). I hope you like it. Comments and critics are most welcome, Thanks
I'm not usually a 'fantasy figure woman' kind of guy... never really been a big fan. This is however refreshingly different! For one, it's a woman in actual armour that functions as such - not just a wee bit of tin and cloth for the teenage male audience.
Secondly - the hours you put in have paid of, before i read the description - I honestly thought it was an oil painting.
The tones and textures do have a warmth to them that constantly eludes me doing digital work (much of my digital work I always feel is a little cold somehow).
You've captured the patina of used but well maintained armour very well indeed, and her face has a wonderful pre-Raphaelite aspect to it.
